German Shepherd Treat With PETPOSITIVE Next Weekend

Members and canine trainers of the GSDCM
DATELINE JALAN TEMPLER, PETALING JAYA:

GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG FANS are in for a super treat next weekend.

Our nation's first and only registered German Shepherd Dog Club of Malaysia (GSDCM) is holding a world-class professional dog show for the breed to test its showmanship and agility.

And PETPOSITIVE is invited!

So also is the well-known self-help disabled group Independent Living and Training Centre (ILTC) in Rawang, Selangor.

Our Society's President Anthony Thanasayan will be the guest-of-honour at the premier event that will be held in the open field of a local school in the area.

The GSDCM, which was formed in December of last year will be showcasing some of the top-class German Shepherd exhibits in the country as well as from overseas.
The half-day programme also includes a special demonstration of canine protection work in helping our communities fight crime through their intervention.
Petpositive and ILTC will both share a booth where they will be selling their fundraising items. (Note: Donations to the societies are also tax deductible.)
Additionally, information on animal-assisted therapy, the disabled and the elderly will also be provided at the booths. Visitors can also get some advice on dog-behaviour by an animal expert who will be present at the centre. There will be opportunities also for some photo shoot and patting of German Shepherd Dogs at the booth.
In addition of conducting specialty GSD shows throughout the country, the GSDCM's objectives include conducting breed surveys, planning hip evaluation schemes and addressing health issues concerning the breed.
The GSDCM is affiliated with the prestigious World Union of German Shepherd Dog association or WUSV which was founded in Germany in 1899.

The founder was Captain Max von Stephanitz, who set it up in order to guide the Germans in the science and art of breeding quality German Shepherd Dogs.
