DAP's Press Conference On Kitten Killer Questioned By Animal Rights Groups

Ean confronted by animal lovers on Sunday
PETPOSITIVE NEWSFLASH!

Latest from Department of Veterinary Services to Petpositive:

"The enforcement team began investigations (on kitten killer case) yesterday.

"Upon receipt of clear  information with evidence we will prepare prosecution paper for AG to act."

DATELINE SERI KEMBANGANG, SELANGOR:

THREE DAYS AFTER the surprise public confession of a 21-year old woman at the Democratic Action Party's (DAP) service centre in Jalan Sekolah, Kampung Baru here, animal rights and welfare activists are now raising their heckles against the organisers of the press conference.

Right on top of their target list are DAP 's assemblyman Ean Yong Hian Wah and Serdang Member of Parliament Teo Nie Ching.

Kitten abuse on TV
"We are outraged and ashamed by the duo's attempts to try and defend the perpetrator (who has now infamously been billed as the 'Serdang Kitten Killer')," blasted Shenaaz Khan, president of the Malaysian Animal Welfare Society or MAW.

She made her feelings known in a statement to PET+BLOGSPOT  this afternoon.
Khan, who is also an Exco Member of PETPOSITIVE ,  had no qualms about describing the DAP press conference as a "reprehensible attempt to defend a ruthless kitten killer which is both legally and morally wrong."

"We are further enraged by Ean Yong's response to animal lovers that 'It (was) just a cat!'

Teo making a point
"Animal cruelty is a federal crime in this country and cannot be dismissed!" Khan pointed out asking if Yong and Teo would have done the same thing if the crime involved a human being such as in child abuse or rape.

In view of the matter, Khan and animal lovers  - together with  Petpositive, Lawyers for Liberty and other animal rights and welfare groups, will be handing over memorandum of protest to DAP Secretary-General Lim Guan Eng this week.

Animal rights groups will be demanding that Ean Yong  and Teo Nie Ching apologise for their handling of the animal cruelty issue and take remedial measures to ensure that the kitten killer does not get away with the crime.

All animal lovers reading this message are warmly invited to join in with the protest which will take place this Saturday as follows:

Date:   12/03/2011
Time:  11.30am
Venue: DAP Malaysia, Ibu Pejabat Kebangsaan, Jalan Yew (off Jalan Pudu), 55100 Kuala Lumpur.

This invitation message is issued by Malaysian Animal Welfare Society. For further information, please call 016-2956996.

Thanks for highlighting this issue. These two DAP clowns need to be kicked out.

That "it's only a cat" statement shows the mind set of the low class ah beng.

And this Teo woman is a shameless amateur politician who panders for votes 24/7. It...s almost comical.

Personally I do not trust the DAP ever since I saw how Lim Jr and the DAP supporters screwed the KBP folks (and their poor animals).

Will try to make it on Saturday. Make a facebook event and I'll spread the word.
