Local Council Celebrating Persons with Disabilities During The New Year

THE PETALING JAYA CITY COUNCIL (MBPJ) decided to hold its International Day of Persons with Disabilities Day celebration two days before 2014. About 70-odd participants, most of them with wheelchairs and white canes together with their caregivers attended the event to celebrate disabilities. 
 
MBPJ's planning department headed by Sharipah Marhaini held a cake-cutting ceremony where everyone sang the Birthday Song to declare that people with disabilities are also very much part of our normal society.

It was great to be able to celebrate our disabilities together. Representatives of the Malaysian Parksinson's Malaysian Parkinson's Disease Association, Petpositive, Adult Blind Association and others making their personal wishes as they cut the cake in the Petaling Jaya City Council's headquarters.
