Disabled Children Trapped In Their Own Homes Because of Apathy

ONE OF THE PERSONS I'm deeply indebted to is
Fezia Tyebally from Damansara Heights in Kuala Lumpur.
The loving mother and caregiver of her own son Amir (of Amirs Gym) who is disabled, joined us in MBPJ when we went to visit the poor with YB Haniza Talha in Taman Medan. Fezia was truly a godsend as she gave us expert advise on the disabled people we met and reached out to during our visit.
We found disabled children "trapped" in their flats - some who could never come down because of the stairs whilst their parents had no choice but to shield them in their rooms.
We made sure that they had access to the right medical specialists in the government hospital and whatever financial aid available to them from Selangor and the Federal government.
More than 70 of them were also listed for free renovation to their toilets so that they could get in with thier wheelchairs - a process which is still being carried out at MBPJ's expense.
Thank you Fezia - we will never forget you!
