More Disability Awareness Among Local Councils Please In 2014!

From Anthony Siva Balan Thanasayan's Facebook page:

The dialogue session was a big hit among the disabled participants
FEEDBACK received from many of the 70-odd participants at MBPJ's Disabled Day Celebration on Monday was that our dialogue session was a big success.
Those who didn't speak, listened rapturously to what was being said

It went on for almost two-hours as almost everyone had their say.

Many of showed their thumbs up for everything that MBPJ was trying to do for disabled residents in Petaling Jaya by the Petaling Jaya City Council.
"Please have more sessions like this and invite more people."

Participants spoke out on a number of issues such as the need to step up awareness about people with disabilities with the general public as well as local council authorities. Others asked about setting up small time businesses in MBPJ.

Particpants included children and little persons
One of the most heated and lively topic was about those who abuse disabled friendly facilities and why prompt action by the enforcement was necessary.

It was a wonderful way to end 2013. More soon.
The smile from the MBPJ team spoke volumes
