OUR
POSTS AS MBPJ COUNCILLORS ends at the stroke of midnight on New Year's
Eve.
After which there will be no councillors for at least a month or
possibly two, until after the new councillors are selected.
I have no
idea if I will be picked again to serve the PJ community.
However, this I
know, there is still tons of work more to be done in the area of
disability and animal welfare concerns which I started in July of 2008
when I first joined in.
In the last Full Board Meeting I mentioned that
it is imperative that my disability seat in the council is upheld by a
disabled person in the new year for this purpose.
At the same time, it
must be pointed out that whoever the new disabled person is, he or she
must be qualified for the job; otherwise the position will only be a
mockery to the disability community.
Here are some recent pictures from
an Urban Transportation Conference that I attended earlier this month
with some of my fellow councillors followed by some brief background
details . . . — with Richard Yeoh and Chan Chee Kong.
