PETPOSITIVE NEWS!

DATELINE OCTOBER 26, 8AM, MBPJ LIBRARY, PETALING JAYA:

PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES will be among the pet lovers, local council authorities and residents groups from Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya when they gather in PJ this Saturday to celebrate World Animal Day 2013.

"We are expecting a small group of people with various handicaps such as the blind, wheelchair users, persons with walking difficulties and little persons to also take part in our event," said Anthony Thanasayan, organiser for MBPJ/DBKL WAD on October 26.

"Some of them will be active recipients of animal-assisted therapy as well as those curious about it," he said.

Thanasayan who is President of PETPOSITIVE as well as Chairman of MBPJ's Canine Advisory Team pointed out that pets played an integral part in the lives of disabled and elderly persons by helping them to stay positive in life.

Petpositive is looking for volunteers to be a friend and help the disabled participants who turn up for the event. If you can help, please call us at 012 220 3146 or email us. Mailto:petpositive@yahoo.com
