Baby Milky Stork Needs Rescuing In Shah Alam

PETPOSITIVE NEWSFLASH!

CAN YOU HELP?

A BABY MILKY STORK is apparently in serious trouble in Shah Alam Selangor tonight.

PETPOSITIVE received a call this evening from a jogger who was exercising at Taman Tasik Shah Alam.

He came across the injured bird near the lake.

He believes that the bird was attacked and injured by some people.

He says he is unable to rescue the bird because it is very defensive.

There was no answer to the telephone lines of Perhilitan and the Selangor SPCA when he called them.

The gentleman says he had no choice but to leave the bird and come back in the morning to see if it survives through the night.

The bird appears to have two broken legs. It's wings may also be damaged.

Apparently, the best chance the stork has if it can be rescued and taken to the zoo.

Waiting for Perhilitan to help is not advisable as the holidays are still on.

According to the jogger, the location of the stork when he left it last is as follows:

"From where I was standing (bird at my feet) I can see Maybank approximately 120' away.

"Meaning, if one is standing in the middle of Maybank's neon signs at PKNS complex and looked towards the lake, the pityful bird is aprox 120' away."
