DATELINE: PETPOSITIVE THERAPY CENTRE, PETALING JAYA:
THE DEPARTMENT OF VETERINARY SERVICES OR DVS in Selangor is conducting a full investigation of the Petknobe scandal.
PETPOSITIVE, meanwhile, has found out from a very reliable source that Malaysians could find out the outcome of the DVS' investigations as early as next week.
The DVS is currently interviewing the victimised pet owners of the tragedy that led to the death of more than a dozen cats and scores of other felines missing.
It is learnt that some of the evidence has been tampered with. This happened unwittingly when animal lovers broke into Petknode's premises to save some of the cats.
The DVS - together with the police - are asking pet rescuers who save some of the cats to return them to their owners. They can either pass them to the DVS or the police.
Let's keep our fingers firmly cross that we will finally be able to see some good justice for our animals soon.

74 Police Reports Lodged Against Pet Hotel In Damansara
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 8 (Bernama) -- The police have received 74 reports against a "pet hotel" in Damansara Damai here, allegedly for leaving its cats to starve, with 12 of them found dead.
Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Khalid Abu Bakar said the reports were lodged by the cat owners who had left their pets at the cat boarding centre.
"Although investigation of the case is conducted by the Veterinary Service Department, the police will give serious attention to the case and appropriate action will be taken against the owner of the 'Petknode' shop," he said in the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) Facebook Thursday.
Khalid also urged those who had taken the cats from the shop, with the intention of saving them, to hand the pets over to the Selangor Veterinary Department or the police so that they could be returned to their owners.
