Dr Chandra To Speak At A Pet Forum In October

PETPOSITIVE NEWSFLASH!

DATELINE: PETALING JAYA.

Renowned social activist and academic Dr. Chandra Muzaffar - who is also Adviser to the Malaysian Animal-Assisted Therapy for the Disabled and Elderly Association (Petpositive) - will will be a keynote speaker at a first-ever World Animal Day forum of its kind next month.

Dr Muzaffar, who is also President of Just World (JUST) which is an international NGO based in Malaysia, will be joining several other animal rights organisations' speakers - including Petpositive - at the talk sessions.

The awareness raising event is to be held in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

The forum is targeted at more than a hundred participants. They include pet lovers as well as non animal lovers.

Dr Muzaffar's talk is entitled A Just World For Animals.

He will cover issues related to the ethical treatment of animals and pets - particularly dogs - and also share his perspective of various religious views on the subject based from his wide knowledge and experience.
