PETPOSITIVE To Be Introduced To 80 Veterinarians

TODAY IS THE FIRST working day of 2008.

It is also the day that this blogger will know if he needs or need not take any antibiotics at all for his infection which he cau
ght a week ago.

As the days advance into the squeaky clean 2008 (well, not really for Malaysians after yesterday's shocker about our Health Minister's DVDs) PETPOSITIVE is slowly building up our calendar of activities for the next quarter.

Several interesting talks about Animal-Assisted Therapy are in the pipeline. I can't give details to most of them because they have not been confirmed
yet.

The one that I can, however, is a special dinner event put up by Rhone Ma Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Section 51A in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

These are the guys behind two great products for pet lovers: the famous heartworm tablets called Heartgard and the wonderfully effective Frontline Spot-On liquid killer of parasites on our lovely dogs and cats.

They are launching a much improved version of the latter which is called the FRONTLINE COMBO.

The Combo is said to be more than 90% effective in killing baby parasites in their micro-organism state whereas the previous version is said to be effective slightly about 40 percent.

In short, all these spell bad news for parasites but GOOD NEWS for our darling pets!

So where does PETPOSITIVE come in?

Well, Yours Truly (Ahem!) has been invited to give a five-minute presentation sometime after 9pm. The short presentation will be broken into two parts: A brief presentation to the guests about PETPOSITIVE. (A copy of Positive Lives! will be distributed to each of the guests).

The second part, I will give a personal account on how both Heartgard and Frontline has helped my service dogs for the past eight years since I have been using the products, courtesy of Rhone Ma.

In my dealings with the pet health product company, I hope that we can shake hands on an agreement one day soon where Rhone Ma will be willing to sponsor some of our PETPOSITIVE members' pets as well. So keep your fingers crossed on this, everybody that something positive will be forthcoming.

The event, which is only by invitations, is to be held at the Armada Hotel in Petaling Jaya. As many as 80 veterinarians, possibly from around the country, are expected to attend the dinne
r.

I will be attending the occasion with Andrew Martin, PETPOSITIVE'S Assistant Treasurer.

MORE JUICY NEWS: Our Dream Goal to see AAT being practised in hospitals one day is closer than we imagine!

PETPOSITIVE will soon be giving a presentation to medical experts and health care professionals at a local hospital - a first step to seeing AAT becoming a reality in our country.

Stay logged on to PET+BLOGSPOT for the latest on this when it materialises. And wouldn't we all like to know who the wonderful doctor is in making this wonderful thing happen? Coming up soon!
