Treat Disabled Athletes with Equal Access

Whilst it is certainly good news to hear that Malaysia's paralympians will be given the same rewards and recognition as their able-bodied counterparts, did you know that Malaysian handicapped athletes still have to STRUGGLE WITH INACCESSIBLE TOILETS and facilities in local sports facilities around the country.

It is not uncommon that wheelchair-using contesting are put in rooms where they can't get through the bathroom doors.

They are forced to transfer from their wheelchairs at the bathroom entrances to sit in a normal plastic chair and then transfer onto the sitting water closet?

Why do they even have to put up with such hardships in this day and age?

Are their basic needs and rights not important - let alone their dignity!
