Friends in the Canine Cause

SOME OF MY BEST PALS are canines.

Here is a picture of me next to a beautiful Rottweiler (owner in yellow) taken in one of the dog shows by the Malaysian Kennel Association.

I represented MBPJ at the event and got to share with participants the role of local councils in pet management.

Looking on at my right is MKA president Larry Yuen. We worked together to educate the authorities that "there are no bad dogs; only bad owners" in dog biting incidents.

To my left is Datuk Dr Abdul Aziz Jamaluddin, the Director-General of the Department of Veterinary Services. He had a lot of respect for me in what I was trying to do for animals in the council and I always made it a point to consult him when serious matters were involved.

Dr Aziz, in my opinion, is one of the best DGs of the DVS we have had in a long time. He is very progressive and has an amazing understanding of canines.
