Changing Stereotypes About Local Councils and Animal Welfare

4 November 2012 at 08:00 · Edited ·

MY WORK AS CHAIRMAN of the Canine
Advisory Team of the Petaling Jaya City Council or MBPJ didn't only keep me within the city.
The animal work with the local council got me invited each year to University Putra Malaysia's famous Dogathon event each year.
Once I even got invited as the VVIP of the programme.
It was great to be able to participate representing a local council for a change, considering that local councils often get bad press for allegedly mistreating animals under their care.
Participating in the Dogathon's not only gave me the opportunity to highlight my own work with PETPOSITIVE but I also got to share the good things that MBPJ was doing for animals.
Here I am being interviewed by a member of the media at UPM's great event. I had so much fun!
