PETPOSITIVE NEWSFLASH!
DATELINE PETALING JAYA:
Biman III has been diagnosed with Ehrlichia Infection - one
of three types of tick fever. The prognosis appears to be good for
Biman but one can never say and it depends on how Biman will respond to
the medication over the next few days.
He will be on medication shortly for about two weeks. After another
examination, it will be decided whether to extend his medication - which
will most likely happen.
I am
just hoping for the best for Biman and there is no reason for me not to
although tick fever is a potential killer in serious cases.
So,
I am going to take this one day at a time believing that God has no
plans yet to take this wonderful angel from me at this point of time. I
am also thankful that his condition is not something even more serious
such as cancer or hip dysplasia where euthanasia would be a real option.
Would most appreciate your prayers for Biman and me
at this time to get through this. For now, I am so glad that I did the
right thing and take him to a good vet to allow them to run some basic
tests first to pinpoint the problem and not take him for acupuncture
which some people had suggested; although well-meaning.
The
best thing I have learnt in this situation is always take your dog to a
qualified person to make a professional assessment. Any further delays
would only make Biman's life more in danger.
My first
challenge is to get Biman eating some food. I intend to do this by
mixing some beef sausages into his food. Please pray folks. Will keep
you updated. Thanks, aNt
