THINGS are hotting up nicely with MBPJ/DBKL's World Animal Day 2013 Celebrations 11 days more to go!
Animal lovers and activists have a rare chance to quiz at least three local councils at the same time under one roof in MBPJ's Library in Petaling Jaya on October 12.
The three councils - MBPJ, DBKL and MPK - will be present to take questions from the floor on animal welfare at the event. Why do local councils catch dogs instead of letting them roam the streets? What do they do to them after that? Are dog pounds designed to be "torture chambers" for animals? Why are animals put to sleep? Why don't local councils create animal shelters and keep the strays?
This is your golden opportunity to put forward your dying questions to the people in charge. But also, be prepared to be educated by discovering the horrors inflicted on dogs and cats by pet owners themselves! See you there.
