MBPJ And DBKL Shake Hands For The Cause Of Animal Awareness And Welfare

From Facebook:

HISTORY WAS CREATED this morning at the Petaling Jaya City Council's Library when two city councils - MBPJ and DBKL - came together officially for the first time for the cause of animals to celebrate MBPJ/DBKL's World Animal Day 2013 with the theme: "Responsible Pet Ownership."

About 150 participants mostly from

local councils in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur began coming in as early as 7.30am for the half a day event.

This is the symbol (see top left) that was launched earlier this morning. Hands supporting a globe of doves in the midst of flight bearing the MBPJ and DBKL logos as a sign of partnership in helping create a better world for animals within the jurisdictions of the two cities.

A toy cat suddenly appeared from the smoke screen and kept meowing loudly as if to declare this new mission. Later, two real cats were used for the photo shoot with the VIPs of the event.
