Building A Disabled-Friendly Petaling Jaya

PETPOSITIVE NEWS UPDATE!

DATELINE: SECTION 52, PETALING JAYA, SELANGOR.

I WAS at a popular local pharmacy here last Thursday to see how a wheelchair ramp could be built into the shop.

The Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) had received several complaints from disabled residents wanting a ramp to be built next to the pharmacy for easy accessibility.

So as Councillor for the area, I managed to "summon" the
Me and my intrepid accessibility team
planning and engineering department to meet me over at the site to see how the problem could best be solved.

It turned out to be a cinch. The owner of the business agreed to pay for the ramp once MBPJ had provided him with the correct specifications of the ramp.

It is always a joy with supportive people like this. Little by little, we will build a disabled-friendly city in Petaling Jaya!
