MBPJ Accessiblility Team Doing Access Audit Exercise Now

SOMETHING EXCITING is happening here this morning. 

Experts from the planning, engineering and housing departments of the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) are combing the area to check on disability access in the area.  

The effort is being done in conjunction with International Day of Disabled Persons  on Monday, the 3rd of December.

MBPJ will be going all out to focus on making the business community area of Section 52 a model for disabled-friendly features. 

As a result, no stone will be left unturned as the special troop start their journey from the council's headquarters right down to the bustling business area to make sure paths are friendly to the disabled and blind communities. 

The first phase exercise which starts at 9am will last for three hours. 

MBPJ plans on getting the various business communities to do their part for disabled accessibility in phase 2. Disability access and inclusion is the main theme for the global disabled day celebrations on Monday.
