Dog Didn't Die, Claim Perpetrators

PET+NEWS Manhole Dumped Dog Update:

Today's The Star reports Kanilla, the six month old dog that was dumped into a manhole in June, may still be alive!

At least that is what one of the Somali student who dumped the canine now says.

He rang up the newspaper with the story claiming that the animal escaped to safety through an external outlet large enough for it to get out.

He said he discovered this after going down to the manhole to find the animal not there.

When asked why they did it, he is reported to have said: "It was an act of stupidity and regret it. We want to apologise to everyone."

The Department of Veterinary Services is apparently still conducting its investigation on the case.

The matter has obtained international attention. Even People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) are watching developments closely.

A protest by animal activist was to be held this morning at a university in Cyberjaya.

PET+BLOGSPOT has not received any news about that event so far.
