Could Kanilla Still Be Alive?

PETPOSITIVE NEWSFLASH!

DATELINE CYBERJAYA:

FOLLOWING THE SHOCKING INCIDENT two months ago when a young dog was thrown into a manhole here by three foreigners, animal lovers are wondering if the puppy could have survived its cruel ordeal from the incident.

One of the perpetrators claimed to The Star earlier this week that the puppy called Kanilla was alive. He alleged he knew this after he and his accomplice went to the site the next day and found nothing there. (See HERE)

PET+BLOGSPOT understands the Selangor SPCA also visited the site recently and made the same discovery. However, we are not able to independently verify this claim.

Meanwhile, here a latest email we received from PETPOSITIVE supporter Tati Ambia:

"A few of my friends sent me these photos. They asked if it could be possible that Kanilla the puppy survived the incident, since manholes are known to have smaller extruded holes at the bottom that are way too small for the puppy. They said, it could even be possible that deep down there is some sort of spot/pavement where puppy could possibly rest on and not drown as long as what many assume as shown in the pictures below.

Question is: Did SPCA or the police or whoever approached Majlis Perbandaran Cyberjaya and asked any of their officers or staff in charge of sewer/manholes to go down there to look for the puppy (alive/dead)? Should they have contacted the firemen instead to search for the puppy, since firemen do help rescue animals? Pets are known to go missing for weeks sometimes a month or so. Sometimes they come home, skinny, malnourished and traumatized but survive whatever ordeal they went through.

In the last photo, it seems there are metal steps attached internally in the manhole for construction workers or manhole cleaners/people to go into. Could it be possible that there is a spot/step that Kanilla could have jumped on and stayed there till now? I know this sounds crazy but... what do you think?"
