PETPOSITIVE NEWSFLASH!
DATELINE PARLIAMENT HOUSE, KUALA LUMPUR:
REPRESENTATIVES FROM ANIMAL RIGHTS AND WELFARE GROUPS are expected to arrive within the hour here to meet officials from the Democratic Action Party (DAP).
They intend to hand over a protest memorandum to the DAP's Sectretary General Lim Guan Eng over the involvement of Sri Kembangan assemblyman Ean Yong Hian Wah and Serdang Member of Parliament Teo Nie Ching in a press conference for self a confessed kitten killer that was organised by the duo.
"We have no choice but to go all the way to Parliament to do this since the DAP refused to meet us on March 12 when we went to the DAP's headquarters to handover our memorandum," said Shenaaz Khan, president of the Malaysian Animal Welfare Society and Treasurer of PETPOSITIVE.
She will be joined by a representative from the Malaysian Animal Rights Society (ROAR) together with Lawyers for Liberty and others.
The groups are demanding an apology from DAP representatives who were involved with the PC for defending the kitten killer instead of handing her over to the police to be arrested and
investigated.
They are also particularly outraged by Yong’s statement that “it was only a cat.”
All concerned citizens are invited to join the protest which is scheduled for 11.30am.
Venue: Bangunan Parlimen
Jalan Parlimen
50680 Kuala Lumpur

Any latest update on this matter? I hope all went well!
I hate animal abusers! I hate people who support them too!
DAP has lost my vote for good over this matter, coz even if they made a public apology following to this, it is something insincere.
An animal abuser will always be an abuser and a supporter of such people is useless to have as leaders. We already have too many of these kind around. We need a change!
Thanks Susleen for your comments. You are right; our politicians have to practice what they preach - and animal rights should be on their agenda.
Stay tuned. More updates as we get it.
