Can You Add Some Cheer For An Elderly Gentleman In Shah Alam?

PETPOSITIVE SOS UPDATE!

DATELINE SHAH ALAM:

We are most happy to report that a SOS that we issued on September 26 was answered within 48 hours.

We put out a request of help for a 77-year old gentleman who needed some assistance in seeing a doctor - as well as placing his therapy dog at the veterinary clinic whilst he was away.

A big thank-you to Prabha Nayar, a professional for responding to our request after reading our Blog.

Prabha; who lives in Bangsar and, who is a dedicated animal rescuer, took his family to visit our member in order to cheer him up last week.

The elderly gentleman complained of breathing problems. He was worried that his condition might require him to be hospitalised as a result.

This made him anxious about what would happen to his companion dog that he lives alone with.

Even if he left the dog with the vet, he was worried about who would take care of his dog whilst he was away.

A good dog-lover would be ideal to check on his pooch during his absence.

As it turned out, our member did go to the hospital but he did not require admission.

Instead with some medication, he was cleared of having any serious problems.

During his visit, Prabha had kindly offered to drive him to the hospital.

However, his request was turned down by our member because he had already made arrangements with a member of his family to transport him to the hospital.

Nonetheless, Prabha made sure to call our member after his check up to make sure that he was okay.

It is kind and caring people like Prabha who is willing to go out of his way to volunteer for one of our member that we in Petpositive are looking for.

Prabha's visit did much to cheer up our member who is now almost back to normal.

Whilst Prabha has very kindly offered to help our member whenever he needs assistance, we are still looking for someone who lives around Section 2 in Shah Alam to contact us if they can help.

This is more practical than having Prabha travel from Bangsar to Shah Alam.

What's required?

Just visit our member from time to time to cheer him up by getting to know him and his wonderful retriever named Maxie.
