Dateline: Istana Budaya, Kuala Lumpur.
Nearly a dozen members of PETPOSITIVE, their caregivers and supporters had a time of their lives last week when they were given free tickets to the hottest and latest dance performance by Malaysia - and the world's - dance doyen Ramli Ibrahim.
Called the "Vision of Forever", the show was held last week in KL's Istana Budaya theatre, one of the ten most sophisticated theatres for cultural performances in the world and on par with the Royal Albert Hall in London.
"It was certainly a show that I will definitely remember forever," said a beaming stroke survivor, after the performance. The elderly lady said she and her caregiver were simply mesmerised throughout the two-hour performance.
Another gentleman who lived through a stroke said that he couldn't wait for the 15-minute intermission to be over. "I just wanted to get back and immerse myself into the spellbinding dances that were brilliantly performed by Ramli and his Sutra Dance team."
Apart from Odissi guru Ramli Ibrahim, Vision Of Forever also featured quite a number of the master dancer's Indian classical dance students who include Guna, Michelle Chang, Rathimalar, Revathi and Tan Mei Mei.
"For me, the dance was about the vulnerability of human life in the company of the divine," said Anthony SB Thanasayan, President of PETPOSITIVE. "The show was most absorbing, demonstrating how our lives are so dependent on the Higher Power (in this case, an emphasis on female superiority) that is much and far greater than ourselves.

"All of us were absolutely flattered when Ramli himself approached us to offer the free passes. We can never forget the great one-and-a-half-hour performance he gave us in our charity event in 2007 free-of-charge", concluded Thanasayan.
Later when we thanked Ramli for his generosity, he replied via SMS: "Your presence (made) the performance worthy of the sweat and tears. Thank you - Ramli."
THANK YOU RAMLI!
