ENOUGH! Time To Stop The Murder Of Dogs In Malaysia!

PETPOSITIVE PAWS FOR THOT:

PET+BLOGSPOT is pleased today to print an opinion from one of our most ardent supporters Jessy Chahal.

Jessy is incensed by a couple of incidents recently where dogs had been innocently targeted and brutally and senselessly killed for no crime of their own.

ENOUGH! She appeals to the consciences - if there were any left - of the local authorities.

PET+BLOGSPOT

Enough!

To begin at the beginning, Im frustrated at how I belong to a community in which local authorities have total disregard for others. So bad are these seeds, that they do not own a single humane molecule in their body.

No pause for thought to wonder what it would feel like to be helpless, unable to speak up or defend oneself.

The 9 dogs that were put to sleep in Kuala Langat had nothing to do with the killings. The 9 dogs were left unattended for days.

What crime were these dogs guilty of?
The 9 dogs are dogs

"Dogs" mean that they are domesticated animals that need human touch, love and care. Dogs that need food and clean water to live. Dogs that would by instinct protect, their territory.

To barge in, chase down and put these innocent dogs to sleep was NOT the way to address the situation. These dogs had nothing to do with the killings!

These dogs were innocent! Mind you, innocent beings should be protected. These same dogs could have helped others through their difficulties or disabilities.

Another appalling and truly disgusting case was the Murder of Johnny, a loving and innocent mongrel from Tampin, Seremban.

Authorities shot him dead, because numerous people had lodged complaints of Johnny’s barking. Johnny’s barking was due to the fireworks.

Chahal: Time To Pull The Trigger On Animal Abuse
Johnny is a dog, for goodness sake. It’s what they do….and if you are a dog owner, lover or a reasonable human being with some common sense, you would know that dogs generally do not bark without reason.

To shoot Johnny was an outright act of inhumane behavior. Who gave them the green-light to shoot? Was there prior warning? Really, what was the crime? Barking?

The only ones behaving like street dogs are truly members of the authorities.

As a typical Malaysian would say in Manglish "Stoooooopit!"

My point here is that enough is enough! Enough of the insensitivity to animals. Enough of the cruelty.

Enough of low mentally, indifferent and rude authorities, who do not give a two-hoods about the importance of being kind to animals.

Enough! Its down right embarrassing. I beg to be differentiated from these people that are supposed to belong to my community.

Step up, act up and own up. Stop this ill mannered, immature and disgusting behavior. We are a mature nation, educated with right principles and brought up with good values. Its time to change……..let’s pull the trigger on this once and for all.

Enough!

Some people are worse than animals Tony.

It doesn't help that their culture condones cruelty upon man's best friend.

They will deny this but hey we ain't blind....

bedistI agree and salute you for making a stand - well done! FINALLY, somebody has taken initiative to highlight a subject, ofetn talked about but no action taken. May I humbly suggest - maybe you want to use this platform to start a signature campaign to enable Anthony to present it to the relevant authorities to make a change. A country is judged by the way it treats its animals, who have no voice and yet have been declared through the ages as MEN'S BEST FRIEND!

Our Noah's Ark
Animal Rescue group has been badgering the city council on this issue. Although the Datuk Bandar has been supportive, no immediate action has been taken. The excuse is that they have other priorities and they have to take note of peoples complaints against strays. We understand is but shooting dogs is not going to solve this problem.Keeping the stray population down with a neuter/spay programme WILL. This was our proposal to MBI.

Allan Suman Pillai, the only difference is in YOUR head. Do you think that chickens, pigs, cows, goats, fish, etc., don't feel fear and pain, just like dogs? Do you think they want to live tortured lives or be killed for food? They don't want any of that to befall them, just as any dog wouldn't want that to happen to it, and no less than any of us would want to be treated like an object without any rights, except the right to suffer and be killed so that we might feed human beings who don't actually need to eat meat to survive. What is the difference between them and dogs, really, in that sense?

Don't accuse someone else of ignorance until you have a good hard look at yourself in the mirror.
